    Typical Bungie.......Extremely well polished and fluid gameplay that sets the foundations for the beginning of a ten year story. Massively addictive leveling and looting treats. Various ways to customize your Guardian(s) equipment and skills. This is a new type of game that doesn't quite fit into any category so don't expect it to be like anything else you've played. It does have some similarities to FPS like Borderlands and Halo but even though I'm a huge BL fan I think Destiny just feels more tight in terms of control and targeting. It's designed to be played cooperatively although it is possible to do missions and patrols etc solo. Strikes and Raids require a Fire Team (usually three people but on the tougher levels it can be 6). This isn't a single Campaign game like Halo. The campaign is a mere "tutorial" to set you up with descent skills and equipment to begin taking back what was lost by the "Darkness". Destiny is superb for me because as a father I sometimes have to get my gaming fix in between chores, you can dip in and out of the worlds so easily and it works perfectly. Don't have time to start a mission but still want to shoot some stuff? Just do a Patrol or a bit of loot finding for a quick fix. If you're lucky enough to have the day off work/college then you can glue your bum to the seat and put in hours and hours of time completing missions, strikes, raids and Crucible matches.
    I understand that some players just won't like it because it's pretty tough and there is a big element of grinding but for me personally this is just one of its many addictive qualities. I never thought any other game would pull me away from GTA5 or indeed Battlefiled 4 but I can't put this game down!

    Destiny is about the experience of playing in a fireteam with your friends. Simple as that. You and 2 others. Leveling up is the key to this game through various story and side missions. The online always component is as follows- other characters jumping around and falling off the tower, or dancing on top of stuff. During combat you will see other gamertags who may join your fight help you up. People come and go.

    In the raid mode the vault of glass which is a hard 27+ level will you have 6 people. This has to be carefully organised and researched. I felt like a dungeons and dragons convention. Yes, you will do this, u do that. blah blah. Couple of hours before I gotta shoot something. I am used to organising Gears of War horde games. The steps you must take in this challenging section will make you wanna pull your teeth out. Patience will be rewarded. yeah? Just cover your eyes when you get to the results page. After completing sections of this you will wonder why you bother. But each experience is individual, that gun, that armour- you earned it and cannot give it to your friend. The game rewards you eventually. But dangles a piece of armour in front of your nose and says aha come back when you fight 50 times. Feels like work man.

    Multiplayer PvP is full of MLG guys that dominate it and kick ass, so its hard to learn the ropes. A fly through on the maps would have been nice. There are deathmatch and capture which are handled great by Bungie and designed great. Just try to stay alive longer than 1 minute. Bit frustrating. But hey you probably kick ass.

    I have had patience with the game and the rewards that are obtained after 5 hours play with friends are e.g. 1- a pair of boots 2- a gun that you already have, 3 some random component required for legendary armour. There will be alot of grinding just to get armour for levels above 20. This is initially fun with your friends and you will enjoy the experiences with the enemies. Unfortunately there are not enough enemy types and missions are samey up/down to planet Mars, Earth, Venus, Moon and up/down to the tower. The fun factor is just not there. Make up your own fun with your friends, but the game is stale because of the repetitiveness. Time will tell if Bungie put some flesh on the bones. The story is about a white ball and a black ball. neh.

    Well, What can I say other than well done Bungie and Activision. This game really is a sight to behold.
    The amazing gameplay and graphics for Xbox-360 really blew me away and, as a huge halo fan, i found the game extremely fun immediately got back into the swing of things like i was playing reach all over again. The character progression in the game is brilliant, with the different classes and subclasses each with their own specific skill trees and extremely cool super attacks. The Crucible (Online) is very cool and whilst it only has 4 game modes, sometimes 5 if an event is on, it is always good fun to load up and have a shootout on. The only reason that I can't give this game 5 stars it because there just wasn't enough detail in the story missions. I know there planning on releasing DLC's for the game over a large period of time but for a game that cost me £40 to buy off the shelf you would think they would at least make a decent story and not make me have to buy DLC's just to finish the story. The whole story in the game just felt really vague. Not to mention the pathetic last mission. It affected me less than some people because im used to the whole grinding for gear and playing the same missions over and over again due to me being a huge borderlands 2 player but even this game is boring to play the story, or lack of story, over and over again because its so repetitive. Practically all of the missions are the same and have the same objectives just worded slightly differently.

    All in all the game isn't bad provided your not trying to buy it for a seriously in depth story. or you have the money to buy all of the expansion packs. The game is good but im not sure if its quite worth the £40 price tag.
